News from Community folks (happenings, questions, etc...)

Welcome to the Month of Re dedication!
May we each burn bright lights of hope, justice and love through out this month and onward.
Note: We are looking for a new Newsletter Compiler/Editor, if you are interested please e-mail Nathan nathetc@fastmail.fm
This is just collecting information each month and putting together in this format below or a new format news for eurojews! It fun and not much work, I've just done it for a while and think someone else should have a go since I'm not living in Europe anymore.

Shalom from Laura

  • www.jeneration.org  is now on-line! Jeneration is the portal for Jewish life on your terms. We are a friendly, open community created by you.

A space where you can expand your social networks, making connections with others wherever they may be; geographically or Jewishly.
A space where you can find out what is going on, publicise your events and let others know about cool stuff you've come across.
A space for expression and debate, a platform where your voice will be heard. Here you can engage with contemporary issues and have your say, sharing a desire to make a difference to the world we live in.

Jeneration events will follow soon - watch out for an interfaith trip to Spain, a Jeneration poker tournament, an incubator programme for Jewish enterprise ideas and a Purim film competition to name but a few.

Jeneration is backed by the Movement for Reform Judaism with the aim of enriching all of our Jewish lives - however we choose to identify ourselves. We include community-wide as well as Reform events in our listings reflecting the way we all live and socialise.

could you support liberal judaism?
liberal judaism's young adults department, which runs 'tent', is entirely funded by the council of patrons. these are liberal jews that donate at least £2000 each year towards certain projects within the movement. as a group, they decide how their money gets spent and they feel that 'tent' is one of their main priorities!

we know that some of you might be interested in joining this group and have therefore arranged for a young adult table at the next patrons' dinner, which is held at the house of commons. this is an opportunity for current and potential patrons to gather and see how their money is being or could be spent.

if you think you might be interested to attend this event and find out more about becoming an lj patron, please contact anna on 07817 207625 or a.gerrard@liberaljudaism.org to discuss the matter further and maybe book your place at the next patrons' dinner
