Szim Salom, Hungary's only progressive Jewish community. There he acted as their cantor, was a founder member of Szimchaz, and subsequently created EuroJews. Now he is enjoying his fifth and final year of the rabbinic programme at Leo Baeck College in London, writing his dissertation about Talmudic stories retelling the destruction of the Temple. He has worked with a number of synagogues across Europe, from Beit Warszawa in Poland to the Lincolnshire Jewish Community, and is now working as rabbinical advisor for the International Jewish Center in Brussels. Beatrice Richman   Beatrice
Beatrice grew up in rural New Hampshire, USA where the Jewish population was quite small.  As a teenager, she knew that she wanted to work in the Jewish non-profit sector, and after studying in Budapest for a semester she was committed to return to Europe after her undergraduate degree
 
Beatrice moved to Cologne, Germany in June of 2004 to teach English.While attending services one Shabbat evening at the progressive Synagogue in Cologne, Beatrice met Nathan Alfred, the guest Rabbi, who told her about EuroJews and the (then) upcoming event in Prague.Beatrice has been involved in EuroJews ever since, helping with administrative decisions and issues, launching the membership campaign, and working on fundraising ideas.In September of 2006 Beatrice will begin studying for her Masters degree in Jewish Cultures at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.beatrice(at)eurojews.org

David Moskovic   Beatrice
Despite his best efforts, David Moskovic was barmitzvahed at the Catford & Bromley United Synagogue. He attended City of London School and gained a first-class degree in Natural Sciences
 
(Physics) at Queens' College, Cambridge. He is a qualified accountant, and now works as a quantative analyst for The Royal Bank of Scotland. He has been acting as Treasurer for EuroJews since 2003. David is a very strong chess player and sometimes wins at poker.david(at)eurojews.org
Laura Evonne Steinman   Laura
Laura is an American Community Artist who currently lives in Warsaw, Poland. She's about 3 decades old and loves to makes art with people of all ages. She works at a British School Teaching Art to children 4-12 years old. She's also involved with many community projects from volunteering at a local children's home to doing monthly Rosh Chodesh women's gatherings, and much more. She likes to keep busy, to say the least. Her landing in Poland seems just right....
 
Her Mother's Family grew up Catholic (Polish roots) and her Father's family grew up Jewish (with Russian roots). As a child she remembers a few words in Polish that were spoken at home and her grandmothers amazing garden and spirt. She also remembers attending many Jewish rites of passages in and around Poughkeepsie, NY
with her fathers extended famly. Her family raised her in the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Tradition. Since she has been in Central Eastern Europe she has been exploring her Jewish roots and spirituality and is interested in interfaith happenings.
