EuroJews was established in 2003 as ‘a real and virtual community for young, European, progressive Jews’.

EuroJews has now been in existence for two and a half years.  In this time, six events have been held throughout Europe giving participants the chance to celebrate holidays while reuniting with old friends, making new ones, learning about Judaism and its many different cultural aspects, and seeing how the religion is practiced by different nationalities.  The community has grown and developed over this time to become a multinational, multilingual, multicultural union tied together by the connections to Judaism and the desire to establish a prominent progressive community in Europe.  It’s quite exciting to see how successfully this concept has been realized, how much we have been able to benefit from our community.

At the dawn of the New Year, 5766, EuroJews launched a membership campaign.  This campaign was put into motion to help the organization continue developing and expanding.  The organization and events thus far have been rich with knowledge, culture, and leadership.  The EuroJews administration would like to help enhance these events even further; we would like to see Jewish professionals leading workshops; we would like to publish multilingual Siddurim and Haggadot so that everyone can participate and understand the religious services; we would like to be able to offer more scholarships so that more people can attend events; we would like to develop the administration so that it can best cater to the community’s needs.  However, these goals can’t be achieved without assistance.

Every participant has gained so much from being a part of this organization.  Now is the time to start giving back.  By registering as a member, your contribution will not only play a vital role in the enhancement of the EuroJews community, but will also be beneficial to you: some membership benefits will include price reductions to EuroJews events, potential discounts to Jewish restaurants throughout Europe, and access to a membership link on the website, including chat rooms.  The suggested membership donation is 20 euros.  Please think about what EuroJews is to you and what you’d like to see in its future.
